Ruck Work Tracker ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Account information: Username, email address, and password (stored securely using bcrypt hashing)
• Workout data: Weight carried, distance traveled, exercise types, repetitions, duration, and GPS route coordinates
• Location data: GPS coordinates when you use GPS tracking mode for rucks and distance challenges
• Preferences: Display name, preferred units, default weights, and app settings
• Support tickets: Subject, description, and priority of any support requests you submit

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to provide the App's functionality:

• Creating and maintaining your user account
• Tracking and recording your ruck workouts and exercises
• Calculating performance metrics such as rwu and rucktons
• Displaying your workout history and progress statistics
• Tracking personal records and distance challenge achievements
• Processing and responding to support tickets
• Managing your subscription status

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers using an encrypted PostgreSQL database. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Password hashing with bcrypt
• Encrypted HTTPS connections for all data transmission
• Session-based authentication with secure cookies

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App's Settings.

Location Data

The App requests access to your device's location services to enable GPS-based workout tracking. Location data is used exclusively to:

• Track your route and distance during GPS-enabled ruck workouts
• Record elevation changes during your workouts
• Calculate accurate distance measurements for distance challenges

Location data is stored with your workout records on our servers and is never shared with third parties. You can choose to use manual distance entry mode if you prefer not to use GPS tracking.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat: To manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat may collect anonymized purchase and subscription data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
• Apple App Store: To process in-app purchases and subscriptions. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal data to any third parties. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising services.

Data Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• "Clear Workout History" in Settings removes all saved workouts and personal records from our servers
• "Delete Account" in Settings permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers
• You can also contact us through the App's support system to request data deletion

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the App and on this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
